16 PAX decided to wake up and “get better” on this nice, cool, October  morning. This weekly Starbucks 5K run has quickly become a favorite for YHC, mainly because it does a great job of combining the 1st F and the 2nd F.

Kudo’s to Mr. Bean for recovering the long-lost shovel flag prior to the run.  However, it’s hard to plant the flag in asphalt, but it was present.

Although one was not needed, YHC did give a disclaimer to the PAX. We has one FNG, so the route was explained.  The route, for those of you that haven’t joined us (yet), begins in the Starbucks parking lot. We turn right, and run up the By-Pass to the County Bank, take a left, take another left and run behind the County Bank, through the parking lots of the Theater, Lowe’s and Publix.  We get back onto the bypass until Buck Stove, then we turn right and run up the itty-bitty hill by Sports Break, then head back to Starbucks. A perfect 3.2 route.

Great effort by all today, even those that went a little XL and looped around the Mall.  Kudo’s to both Judge Hairy and Polly who continue to impress and improve.  Both completed the course with a fun sprint to the finish. Great job, guys.

Despite a shady El Camino in the parking lot, YHC closed in prayer.

If you haven’t tried this Starbucks 5K, I hereby extend to you the challenge.  Just come try it. It’s at your own pace.  And, you get to drink coffee afterwards, hang out with some cool dudes, share a few laughs and enjoy the fellowship.  Great way to start the morning! Try it, you’ll like it

Respectfully submitted,

JJ
